For those of us under the age of 40, Quincy Jones is a record producer who has worked with Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, and others. What you may not know is that Mr. Jones really got his start first as a trumpet player, then as an arranger and conductor for Ray Charles, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and others. Jones toured Europe in the late 1950s as a conductor of a big band orchestra, during which time this video was recorded. The footage below speaks for itself.
